Morgan Stanley Foundation

Boys & Girls Clubs of America has partnered with the Morgan Stanley Foundation to bring more than one million wholesome meals to Boys & Girls Club youth though the Million Meal Summer program. Though this program, more than $4 million has been provided to 195 Boys & Girls Clubs in 13 cities across the United States
Million Meal Summer is a unique partnership between Boys & Girls Clubs of America and the Morgan Stanley Foundation to assure feeding programs at Boys & Girls Clubs throughout the country continue to provide food security for young people during the summer.

Research indicates that even mild undernourishment experienced by young children during critical periods of growth impacts their behavior, school performance, and overall cognitive development. Morgan Stanley and its employees are helping to assure boys and girls are nourished during the summer, ready to learn and have fun.

In addition to providing meals and snacks, hundreds of Morgan Stanley employees are contributing their time and efforts to support this important program through volunteer events at Clubs. The partnerships also seeks to engage and educate parents and guardians. Faculty from the Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital of New York-Presbyterian designed fun nutritional games for Club members as well as fact sheets about nutrition for parents.
