 Through a
5-year, $7 million partnership with
Kimberly-Clark Corporation, BGCA has developed a revised family support
strategy
called Family PLUS. (Parents Leading, Uniting, Serving) and
a plan for integrating it into Clubs nationwide. The goal of the strategy is to help build the capacity of Clubs to form collaborations with caregivers as partners in the positive development of children.
Through family support, Clubs will be able to help ensure that families have the opportunities, networks and assistance they need to realize aspirations for their children.
To launch the revised strategy, components of
Family
PLUS are being implemented in Boys & Girls Club pilot sites nationwide. Closer to home,
the Family PLUS strategy also encourages all of us to spend
quality time with
young people.
