Vanessa Merhib

Senior Vice President, Development

Vanessa MerhibVanessa Merhib currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Development, leading BGCA’s Major Giving, Foundations, and Trustee and Board recruitment. Previously Vanessa served as BGCA’s National Vice President of Development & Operations, managing the Resource Development Operations, Foundations, Events, National Trustee Boards and Philanthropy teams. 

Before joining BGCA, Vanessa served as CEO of the Boys & Girls Club of the Northern Plains from 2006 – 2019, where the new Club grew to over 7,000 youth served throughout eight Club sites and communities in the state and a $42M endowment was established to support continued impact and growth of the organization. Vanessa was honored by Boys & Girls Clubs’ highest honor, the Masters and Mentors Award, in 2018 for service to the organization, service to others and impact on the national enterprise.

Vanessa previously worked with the Centro Laboral de Graton, Universidad de Piura and the Institute of International Education prior to joining the Boys & Girls Club organization. 

Vanessa and her husband David currently reside in Greer, South Carolina with their four children, India, Miles, Gideon and Eli.
