Family Dollar

Family Dollar & Boys & Girls Clubs of America are partnering to empower Club youth to create positive change in their communities by giving them the resources, opportunities, and support to Do More to positively impact the world around them.

The History of our Partnership

Through corporate donations, in-store campaigns, brand partnerships and employee giving, Family Dollar has raised more than $6 million for Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) and Clubs across the country since 2014.

We Serve the Same Communities

Nearly half of Family Dollar stores are within 10 miles of a Boys & Girls Club and nearly 80% are within 25 miles. Because we serve the same communities and believe every child deserves access to opportunities that support them in reaching their full potential, one of the most impactful things we can do together is empower Club youth to have a voice on issues that matter most to them.

It's Time to “Do More”

In 2023, Family Dollar plans to donate over $1.3 million to Boys & Girls Clubs of America through corporate gifts, vendor promotions and customer donations with a new focus on supporting the Think, Learn, Create Change (TLC) platform.

BGCA’s Think, Learn, Create Change platform empowers Club youth to act on critical issues by providing the resources, opportunities, and support to Do More and become change agents through creation and implementation of their own TLC-backed local advocacy project.

Through Family Dollar’s support, Boys & Girls Club youth and their advisors will have the opportunity to travel to Washington, D.C., to present their advocacy projects to their peers while participating in BGCA’s Summit for America’s Youth (SAY).

At Summit for America’s Youth, Club youth and advisors will experience our Nation’s capital, hear from inspirational leaders, explore careers in government and public service, and connect with fellow Club youth advocates from across the country.
