Boys & Girls Clubs of America and the NRF Foundation: Preparing Teens for First Jobs and Lifelong Careers

RISE Up Training and Curriculum

The National Retail Federation (NRF) Foundation and Boys & Girls Clubs of America are piloting a workforce readiness program in the summer and fall of 2021 that will incorporate the NRF Foundation’s RISE Up training and curriculum. This groundbreaking initiative was designed by the retail industry to help individuals acquire the skills they need to successfully obtain gainful employment in retail and advance into promising careers, as part of BGCA’s workforce programming. Five Club locations have been selected and will be partnered with retail industry experts from local recognisable retail brands to cultivate relationships with local Clubs as well as facilitate the curriculum into real-world examples.

As this partnership builds momentum, the NRF Foundation and BGCA aspire to learn from our pilot program locations to continue equipping youth for future opportunities.
