Creating opportunities for kids to participate in team sports and build skills to lead to an active, healthy life.

NFL, Boys & Girls Clubs of America Helping Kids Stay Healthy

The NFL and BGCA are partnering to create opportunities for kids to participate in team sports and build skills to lead to an active, healthy life. Through the partnership, over 100,000 boys and girls, ages 6-18, will be introduced to the fundamentals of flag football and join NFL FLAG powered by USA Football.

The NFL, with the support of all 32 Clubs, will provide annual grants to Boys & Girls Clubs including equipment, training for coaches and teen officials, and program materials. NFL Flag will promote and support individual Clubs to develop programs to make their Clubhouses the local destination for flag football. Locations will include school-based Clubs, Native Clubs and BGCA-affiliated Youth Centers on U.S. Military installations.

Inspire Change

Through the NFL’s Inspire Change platform, Boys & Girls Clubs across the country, convene community stakeholders, local government officials and, police departments, to learn more about social justice issues that impact their community. Collaboratively, Club staff and members design action plans to educate youth and address issues many kids face every day.

Inspire Change Video

In March 2022, NFL players and coaches, local Clubs, and influencers participated in a “Justice for All” Town Hall to discuss crucial topics including racial justice, gender equality, and mental health. The Inspire Change grant provides resources that encourage and teach youth how to use their voice and actions to bring positive change to their communities.
