A Tribute to President Jimmy Carter

Our hearts are with the former First Lady and the extended Carter family at this time. A champion of Boys & Girls Clubs, President Carter was instrumental in the development of the Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Unit in Plains Georgia, part of Boys & Girls Clubs of Albany which supports kids and teens throughout southwest Georgia. Even in recent months, President Carter was advocating for the Boys & Girls Club, even filming a new public service announcement for the organization.

President Carter didn't dwell much on the fact that he was the oldest living president and the president who has lived the longest after his term in office. Instead, he humbly stepped forward living his entire life as a champion of human rights and working for multiple charitable causes.  His partnership, kindness and compassion were matchless and contagious. Through his work, President Carter has not only changed thousands of lives, but he has also inspired a countless number of people to explore how they can volunteer and serve others.
