“Not a day goes by that I’m not thankful for what my Club and military experience has brought to my life. The lessons and memories I’ve gained will stay with me the rest of my life. I hold inside me the grace and courage of our armed forces and will use it to put my best foot forward to be the best Kirtland AFB representative for Youth of the Year."
Erynn has attended her Youth Center for eight years, which she credits for making her the person she is today. Although she has moved four times, her military experiences have made her stronger. She can adjust to new environments with little effort, make friends easily and handle stressful situations with a strong mental confidence.
Her Youth Center experience has given Erynn confidence and courage. As president of her Keystone Club, she has planned coat and food drives and packed kits for homeless shelters. She is also a member of the Student Council and dance team at her high school.
Erynn has logged over 270 volunteer hours through her Youth Center and other community organizations. The high school senior plans to attend the University of Arizona to become a psychologist or a paralegal.
